Went and got my GAIT looked at for the first time.Tried on a few pairs of running shoes and could feel the difference straight away (I normally run in 'fashionable' trainers such as K-Swiss, not running shoes).

Results are out for the 10km I done on Sunday.Managed to finish 78th out of almost 200 runners so I'm fairly happy with that.Quickest time was 33 minutes data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Managed 1hr 37 for the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday. Well chuffed with that.

Legs are still hurting today! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Well done Toon.

I was watching the Berlin marathon on Sunday and they were doing sub 3min km's for pretty much all the race bar the last two I think. I'm dead after doing 4min km's for just 3km!

GBDG1

check out Stockport 10 mile road race in December - always a good way to finish off the year and keep the focus until Xmas time.

Cheers mate, i think i will. I'm dying to get back out on the road, but this bloody blister won't go away. I normally just ignore them and crack on, but given the size of this and that it's filled with blood, it's making me nervous.

Christ, that doesn't sound nice at all. I'd let it calm down a bit before going out running. I smashed my toe against the door the other day (always doing it) and so went to the gym and avoided running - concentrated on core work.

Found a picture of me running the Macclesfield half .... thought I would smile at the camera ....data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Completed my week 8 yesterday. Week started ok with (28:19 - 4.6k - 6:07 min/k)

For the 2nd run i tried a different run and had a massive head wind for the first half, conked out after 22min

22:33 - 3.7k - 6:06 min/k

Before my 3rd run i invested in a pair of proper running shoes. A pair of brooks Adrenaline GTS 11's for £35 from Go Outdoors. Don't know if it was psychological but had my best run to date and almost hit the 5k landmark

28:22 - 4.9k - 5:47 min/k
