My mate has got a place in the ballot .... the best boost for anybody training is a training partner.

I'm an idiot. It's official. 10 k last Sunday in probably worst conditions I have ever run in. It was 10k of clay mud plus lots of hills and wet, windy and cold. Felt my Achilles pulling after the first click, don't know why I didn't stop. Finished in just under 48 mins. Limping as soon as I finished. No running for me for 4 weeks , so I suppose that is good news as I could have made it worse. Morale in there for all of us running with injuries....

Got my 10km tomorrow morning and starting to feel a little nervous because of the lack of training I've been able to do!
Will be really happy to get around under 1hr and hopefully not last!Don't think the leg will give me any problems at least!

Had an interesting run yesterday. Within the first 2km I was thinking that I'm cold, why do I put myself through this, etc etc with the knowledge that there was still another 15km in front of me data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
At that point, I was already thinking that my head was going to well and truly win that battle, but 15km later and I had set two training PB's data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
So, my target time for the Royal Parks Half Marathon next Sunday is looking a possibility data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Well done mate.
Managed to get round the South Bucks 10km in 48 mins this morning, chuffed to come in under 50 mins given the injury I've had for the last 4 weeks.

Went out earlier for my first run in 2 weeks. I had assumed this would have been overkill resting time for my shin but it was playing up within 5 minutes of being out.
2 weeks of swimming and excersise bike I think then will see where I am. It's horrible. Managed 2.5mi today and it felt great to be rubbing again but really need to get over the shin isplints. Might go over to the running shop to see if new trainers would help
Well done Ed, that's an awesome time

Well done mate, great time.
I finished in 1:54:30 which was inside my target time but ran out of steam around 10 miles and that long, long climb up Whirley Lane .... over a mile of continuous hills ....finished me off.
A great run though and the weather was kind - thought we were going to get soaked too.
Really enjoyed it, next stop - Stockport 10miler on 9th December - get yourself on that one, always a good day and gives me some focus until then - and then a couple of weeks off after for Xmas!!
Cheers.
