It might be hard to define what the content may be. It will come from the contributions, so may twist and turn within the broadest definition.

GC has always had contents that overlap other boards. People like it because of the high traffic. Nothing worse than posting something which is ignored completely.

So, I imagine there will still be food based posts in GC, unless the Food one is much more popular and more likely to get a response. That won't happen over night.

I was thinking 'Food, Glorious Food' as a title. Just to make it more interesting than Food - or Food and kitchen utensils data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

guess everyone went back to work today..... But on the plus side we had a nice easy dinner or is it tea?

IronGiant Publish time 26-11-2019 05:26:43

That's a long running arguement with no winners data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

We have breakfast, lunch and tea.Sometimes tea is rearranged to "eat". data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

My 11 year old had pizza for tea at 5:00pm and my 20 year old polished the leftovers off for his breakfast data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I love cooking and baking, so to have a dedicated food forum would be a bonus.

I suspect only 49 votes with a third against tells the story...

I used to visit the cinema a lot and buy food before and then buy food during the film.
Then the costs were getting too high and we could do the same as home and built up our home cinema, which when doing bought me to this place.
Now we have a decent enough system, server, popcorn maker and more of an interest in enjoying our new interest with the trimmings (food) that goes with it and would enjoy reading the views and idea's of other members.

So, in short, I would be happy to view and perhaps contribute to a food/related type of board.

It says that probably not that many have a view - or at least enough to poll. Or just didn't read it because it was of no interest.

It isn't a poll of AVForums - just a select few in GC. Given this few have the power to veto any changes, I guess the forum will remain in its present form for as long as it continues. Unless Stuart acts unilaterally.

I actually think that just over 50 votes is pretty good. Perhaps more than I anticipated. The reasons for voting against are not passionately against, but more tactical voting. Not so much against the forum, but against a change.

Easter may not have been ideal to launch a poll either. But when is a good time.

Still, there's still time to vote and maybe a few new faces may yet get on board.
