Apartheid in South Africa was the enforced discrimination by the minority on the majority. They classed its inhabitants into 4, black, white, coloured and indian. Inter marriages were forbidden and blacks were forbidden from living in white areas. Non white political representation was completely abolished. Blacks were deprived of their citizenship, there were segregated public areas and medical care and the services to them was inferior.
That does not take place in Israel.
The 20% or so non Jewish population of Israel have all these rights. Thats why you see Muslims, Christians, Druze, Bahia and others serving in the military, serving in government, serving parliament, running hospitals and more.
Now perhaps you can tell me about how any future Palestinian state will not have a single Israeli living there or that in Jordanian law Jews cannot become citizens or own property? Or many other Arab/Muslim countries who ban Israelis from entering or have actual racist and apartheid laws discriminating against many minorities.
80% or more of Israel speaks Hebrew so the official language is that, just like 100 or more countries around the world. Arabic still has special status and this bill does not affect that in any way.
It enshrines that Israel is a Jewish country, which is what was agreed at the League of Nations in 1922, "a homeland for the Jewish people", nothing has changed, a multitude of countries around the world who proclaim that they are Islamic or Christian and what their official language is and in alot of cases the official religion, although Israel has not said that Judaism is its official religion.
