What I really don't get about this, I mean what I really really don't get about this is... does the British Public as a whole (as in enough to elect the Labour Party) care about Israel or Palestine? Frankly I'm sure the vast majority of people rate it way down their ranking of what matters. So why for the love of God Corbyn just can't put a lid on it and carry out a quick old fashioned lefty purge to appease those who have been offended (with good reason) and concentrate on getting in power and dealing with things we care about I just don't know.
If Corbyn/Labour got elected even in the state they are in right now, would they "solve" the middle east problem? Fat chance. What pressure would they even mount against Israel?
At the end of the day I'm worried Corbyn is so wedded to his ideology that he loses track of the fact he won't achieve anything if he doesn't get elected.
And if I could I'd take him a side, slap him a bit with a wet salmon, and explain that if a group of people murdered millions of his relatives/friends/citizens/race then he'd find it really really insensitive to criticism him by comparing him in whatever banal and unnecessary way to those fascists, and he should really concentrate on the prize... I'd get arrested, but it would probably do him some good ;-) |
