I used the free trial of VyprVPN and it took me to the US site,they included the right EU parts to connect it and there was even a chime in the package

Ok - first day of use update - and its a big FAIL.

It worked ok for first few hours - then nothing at all.

Somebody entered the house walking right up to it to enter the house and its not registered anything at all.

Spent a long time with the support telephone people and they are sending me another one from the USA with a bag to return this one...........not a good start.

Another update - absolutely no notifications of anything in the last 18 hours.

This morning I pressed the bell - it rang on the unit itself - no notifications to any phone or even on PC app.

Then approx 10 minutes later Windows 10 app shows a missed ring - and a motion alert from approx 8 minutes ago (this was a friend leaving for work) - but no alerts at the time when the events happened on any device.

The events also show in the log on the mobile devices - but no alerts when they happened.

It worked perfectly when installed yesterday morning - 2.4 wifi in the area where the bell is showing 10-12 meg upload on a 200 meg down virgin connection.

I will wait for the new unit and see how that performs - unless anybody has any tips ?

Quick question - when I adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection - after every change it asks me to press the doorbell itself to confirm changes.

Is this correct ?

As I explained earlier I was thinking of increasing the range of the motion detection at night time to include cover for my vehicle - but putting it on minimum in the day time. As I am disabled I cannot easily keep pressing the button.

I've altered settings on mine without ringing the bell and the settings have stuck. I've altered them whilst away from home with no problems. Maybe clicking on live view might have the same effect as it's effectively waking the doorbell to allow communication between devices.

I don't have live view as I'm battery powered.

New unit not arrived as yet - this one is definetly defective.

Senses motion of cars passing on road - yet fails to work when somebody walks up to property.

Both phones either get no notification of an alert - or its minutes after something has happened.

Windows 10 app is behaving the same - also some events are either a black screen or it will say video file is not supported and wont play the event back.

Its a big pile of poo at the moment !!

I must have a bad one..............

Another update - replacement has arrived - but they sent the wrong colour.

I installed it anyway - its a little better than the first one but still seems haphazard with sending notifications to my phones.

I also have received a stick up cam - quick question - I am using the quick release method of fixing onto my fence - I know there are 3 possible places to put the bar that goes across and screws in to fix the camera to the holder - but is there any way to "tighten" it into place when you have it at the right angle etc.........the wind is blowing mine around a huge amount this evening - am I missing something really obvious here ? The screw that goes across the bar is as tight as it can o - but it just flaps around in the wind. I have looked on youtube but can't see any videos to explain this.

Well after ordering it on the 10th on the UK site and expecting it to be shipped in a day or two, i had to wait almost 10 days for it to come from China. Then after going through the app and getting no response, although it doesnt say so i realised (doh!) it needed charging, however the thing will not connect to my network. I have 2 internet connections and it wont connect to either.
My android phone and tablet see it, my ipad sees it, but it always fails to connect at the network stage. This is in the same room as the routers.
Despite Ring saying their customer service is excellent, i still haven't had a response from my email of 3 days ago! I know it is now the weekend, but they got it early Friday and they claim 24/7 support.
Not happy with it so far.
