Hmmm, I did suspect as much. Keep having intermittent dropouts on some thermostats. Tado have said to try moving the controller closer, but as it needs to connect directly into the hub and the hub is the other side of the house, this isn't an option. This also seems to have started happening since installing a BT whole home wifi system, which has sorted the patchy wifi connections around the house, but maybe introduced another problem with wifi. It's never straightforward is it?
Edit: just found this: "The tado° hardware components communicate by 868 MHz radio and using the “6LoWPAN” protocols designed for mesh network topologies". The mystery deepens.

The hub works with wireless over power. If you have some of those you could try moving it and see if that works. At least it might help tell you where the problem is coming from??

Hi all
Would appreciate it if someone could help. I have the smart thermostat and extension kit with the latest bridge that works with home kit.
Tonight the app is saying no remote access.I have working internet in the house, all three lights are on and stable on the bridge so what could be the issue.I a new user so any help would be welcome. Oh I have pulled power out of the bridge and restarted. All three lights came back on. Still no remote access.
But the HomeKit part is working. When I change the temp via iPhone HomeKit the smart thermostat shows the new temp
Thanks
Josh

Ok thanks.I actually would be happy if that was the case!I am having a nightmare in a new house I bought, roof leaks, boiler failiure, window leaks, a plumber who connected our washing machine to a hot water connection and this would be the final straw data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Down for me too! This is one of the downsides to this type of "smart tech". It's actually only as smart as the company providing the service!

If you have the HomeKit compatible bridge then that does actually still work to control the heating it appears to be the tado app that is down
