Try swapping the TRVs to see does the problem move with the valves. If not then it's to do with signal level, otherwise it's the valves themselves are off in some way. I'm not sure if all devices connectvia the bridge unit or directly to each other, but I think the bridge is the hub for all traffic. This is connected by a very short Ethernet cable to the router. Find a longer one and try moving the bridge to a different spot to see what happens. Also, are you using mains adapter or power over usb from the router. Try either to see if it makes a difference. Finally, are you using any other devices which operate wirelessly. Tv signal senders, power line Ethernet adapters, dect phones connected wirelessly. Plug out or move around to see what happens.

Thanks for clarifying exactly what you asked for.I'll do some investigating tomorrow to confirm what it's currently doing and whether it seems correct.I have all of the kit but only some TRVs at the moment, awaiting another good Black Friday deal this year *fingers crossed*.

I've just turned the bedroom TRV on manually and the main thermostat has shown as not heating, so I guess mine is currently working as expected?

Unusual issue, can anyone help: the Tado smart thermostat is not calling for heat, despite actual temp being well below desired. The three wavy line remain grey.
Today I installed Smart Thermostat, Extension Kit and 1x Tado TRV (in a different zone).
The TRV can and does call for heat as expected, wavy lines going white, firing up the boiler. I say expected, but this happened without a call to Tado, just out of the box. It's what I want, so no issue. I'm not sure if hot water works yet, will see.
I swapped the Extension Kit back to the old timer unit to check my wiring, and it worked. I also tried deleting the TRV in case the app was confused, but made no difference. I have tried changing both the schedule temp and the override temp for the Smart Thermostat.

Update. Spoke to Tado this morning and the Smart Thermostat needed a software update. Being done over the air. Hopefully all will be well. I would have expected their servers to check/update software as needed.

I found the install a little mysterious. Pairing took several attempts. The stat for a while had an icon of a globe with a "no entry" diagonal through it, no internet I guess. I browsed through lots of settings after 3 shirt taps, but left it on default. Like yourself, I tried to get it to click the relay by setting temp greater then less than ambient. No luck but each change displayed a download symbol, (down arrow pointing to a line), before reverting to the temperature display. I installed it any way, same thing for a while, then the download symbol dissappeared and it started working. I reckon it takes a while out of the box to get its settings from the server. These in turn are dependent on the configuration of your installation you entered when registering your account. It was working but the App still said installation instruction pending. Prior to this I had requested my specific install instructions, but my boiler ( firebird enviromax) and existing thermostat ( systemlink Homezone) were not on their list, so I had gotten an email telling me they were preparing my instructions. I just used generic ones off the net.I figured they needed to know it was now working as a simple on off stat so I emailed them that I just had a straight relay install. They set my status to complete, and just like that every thing worked, web interface, app etc. I had overegged the pudding by explaining that my existing controller/stat/timer used a 4 wire low voltage digital link to the zone/ hw wiring box. The Tado stat has an extra pair of connections for digital interface to compatible systems,It's possible to get the tado to talk to an existing controller, seperate or built in to the boiler, but for simplicity it's better to use it as a straight relay stat, or wireless to the tado extension kit.

Update 2. Everything is working now, following the over the air update to the smart thermostat.
All TRVs (3, over 3 floors) appear able to call for heat out of the box. We'll see how that works out with calibration over time.

Is there anywhere on the Tado website about the firmware revisions for the smart thermostat. I’m currently on version 42.5 and just wondering if that’s the latest one

Does that not happen automatically when you register the device and connect it to d'internet?
