Hmmm, I did suspect as much. Keep having intermittent dropouts on some thermostats. Tado have said to try moving the controller closer, but as it needs to connect directly into the hub and the hub is the other side of the house, this isn't an option. This also seems to have started happening since installing a BT whole home wifi system, which has sorted the patchy wifi connections around the house, but maybe introduced another problem with wifi. It's never straightforward is it?
Edit: just found this: "The tado° hardware components communicate by 868 MHz radio and using the “6LoWPAN” protocols designed for mesh network topologies". The mystery deepens. |
