Is that the Lemo 2?

Dony Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:56

Sure is, but with a different drip tip. The stock tip felt a bit wide so swapped it out for this one which suits me better.

Nice. It's on my list of maybes at the moment.

Dony Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:56

This was the review that did it for me......and the Rip Trippers recoiling vid as well.

Woodywizz Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:56

Great, have had Istick 50w for one day and now it won't turn on. Battery is showing as full. I've clicked the button 5 times to turn on and nothing......

I'm not happy.

S3rv3d Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:57

Have you tried plugging it in to the charger. I don't know if this is the protection feature. Normally nothing is on the display if this happens i think? Not sure if its displaying the battery?

Woodywizz Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:57

Yeah mate, I googled and plugged into charger....nothing. The display shows full battery and allows me to alter voltage / wattage but nothing fires up. Left it in charger for a while then it fired up but continued to fire until the 'over 10 seconds' message appeared. Did this twice then died. Now nothing happening and nothing on display.

I'm so pissed off as this isn't exactly a cheap piece of kit...and I thought it would last more than one day. I'm going to have to send back and wait for redelivery.

Not amused.

S3rv3d Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:57

Did it continue to fire on its own up the the 10 second message. Sounds like it could have the auto fire issue if so.

Bit annoying, this came up about 6 weeks ago, must be a recent batch what this has affected.

Woodywizz Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:57

Yeah, it fired up on it's own. I'm guessing it will need replacing?

S3rv3d Publish time 26-11-2019 20:30:57

Yeah it will. Pure Mist should be aware of the issue. I asked Eleaf UK/ Totally Wicked when I purchased my last 50w and they said they will replace even if out of warranty. They said it has effected <1% of units though and it's something they are continuing to monitor.

I'm not sure what you're planning on doing regarding a replacement but I'd consider getting one from Eleaf E-Cigarette UK | iStick | E-Juice | Atomizers Using Discount code ecig20 it will be £39.99
Unless Pure Mist are willing to replace at any point even after warranty expires if you get this issue again. Which is probably highly unlikely. Although if it is effecting a certain batch it could mean the rest of their stock is?

Not trying to scaremonger just an option. See how you get on with Pure Mist, and what they'll do for future.

Really unlucky you've got one that's done this. No one on here has mentioned they've had the issue and the 2 of mine have been fine. I wouldn't let it put you off another one.

This is the reply I got about it from Eleaf a few weeks ago

Totally Wicked, TECC, Eleaf UK and UK Vapour Brands have become aware of 2 faults appearing in the Eleaf iStick 50W model. The prevalence of these faults to date appears extremely low (less than 1%), but we are monitoring the situation closely, and liaising with the manufacturer to ensure neither fault recurs in future production. The first fault is self-activation without the button being pressed, and the second is failure of the charging IC, meaning the unit can no longer be charged.Should you have purchased an iStick 50W from Eleaf UK that exhibits either of these faults, we will be happy to replace or refund on return. This is no different from the support and assurance we offer for all of our product range.
