Yeah it will. Pure Mist should be aware of the issue. I asked Eleaf UK/ Totally Wicked when I purchased my last 50w and they said they will replace even if out of warranty. They said it has effected <1% of units though and it's something they are continuing to monitor.
I'm not sure what you're planning on doing regarding a replacement but I'd consider getting one from Eleaf E-Cigarette UK | iStick | E-Juice | Atomizers Using Discount code ecig20 it will be £39.99
Unless Pure Mist are willing to replace at any point even after warranty expires if you get this issue again. Which is probably highly unlikely. Although if it is effecting a certain batch it could mean the rest of their stock is?
Not trying to scaremonger just an option. See how you get on with Pure Mist, and what they'll do for future.
Really unlucky you've got one that's done this. No one on here has mentioned they've had the issue and the 2 of mine have been fine. I wouldn't let it put you off another one.
This is the reply I got about it from Eleaf a few weeks ago
Totally Wicked, TECC, Eleaf UK and UK Vapour Brands have become aware of 2 faults appearing in the Eleaf iStick 50W model. The prevalence of these faults to date appears extremely low (less than 1%), but we are monitoring the situation closely, and liaising with the manufacturer to ensure neither fault recurs in future production. The first fault is self-activation without the button being pressed, and the second is failure of the charging IC, meaning the unit can no longer be charged.Should you have purchased an iStick 50W from Eleaf UK that exhibits either of these faults, we will be happy to replace or refund on return. This is no different from the support and assurance we offer for all of our product range. |
