Fried egg, (chip pan) chips & beans, with thickly buttered white bread.

Walkers cheese & onion on white, sometimes with a little mayo.

So do you ask for "brown sauce" or "Houses of Parliament sauce" ?Because it says so on the bottle data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Surely anything requiring the involvement of an oven can't be described as "simple food" can it?data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I've never asked for it- it mings. I am however, capable of ordering food by description rather than colour. I assume you asking for "yellow sauce" must be a right laugh as you get a custard coated hot dog or delicious crumble topped with mustard. Let's not even talk about the horrors in store for "white sauce."

Good fish and chips.
I'm just north of Bradford at the moment and there are some very good pla(i)ces serving haddock and chips, best I've had in years.

Fish and chips Friday lunchtimes from the place on brewer street market in Soho. Really did signal the start of the weekend!

Maryland cookies make me smile too.
