They Sell Daelmans stroopwafels in my local Sainsburys so don't give up hope just yet. Maybe, one day they'll start selling van Dobben there too. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
In fact they already sell something called a 'beef crispbake', or something similar, that is basically a beef croquet. Not as good as a proper van Dobben croquet and it's the wrong shape but if you can't get the real thing, it's ok as an alternative.

Sometimes only egg, chips and peas will do. With some bread & butter and a big mug of tea.

Or bangers & mash with onion gravy.

Or fish(Haddock), chips & mushy peas.

Or beef stew & dumplings.

Fish finger butties are always good though. The fish fingers must be Birdseye, the bread has to be thick and cheap, and the butter has to be real butter and spread thickly.

In the cold winter nothing beats scrambled egg and beans on toast for me. Bit of sauce on the side and a mug of tea! Legend

Came home last night and missus said sorry she forgot to get anything out of the freezer so that's what's for tea. I was over the moon! Think it reminds me of childhood

Oooh, corned beef, with beans and beetroot.
Oh yes.

In fact, just beetroot.

Agreed. As much as I love a good bacon bap a fish finger sandwich just beats it.

Something I tried recently which worked well. A sandwich consisting of some fish fingers, a potato waffle and a slice of plastic cheese right in the middle.

Fantastic. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

A bacon sandwich with the bacon nearly burnt. The rind MUST be crispy, not that white, chewy crud!
This thread is making me so hungry!
