Generally in the real world we don't get Man Utd fans refereeing Man Utd matches. At least I'm not aware of it.
Hence the actual point made above.
This isn't about not being able to make an informed decision. This is about someone with a declared bias then being biased.
He went against the advice of his own advisors in the case above but did it anyway. This was about him and his view. Like a ref ignoring his own linemen when they say "offside."

Thanks to everyone for your feedback on the list in my original post.I have taken onboard comments that some of my obeservations have shown bias rather than simply being factual so I've re-written those points mentioned by Kav & Gadget Obsessed so hopefully it is squeaky now data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Mrs Bercow is impartial. In fact she seems very accommodating.

And people are saying that allowing 90 minutes of treacly tributes to himself before complaining about the lack of time is the most John Bercow thing ever. And people are saying, to quote the man himself, that they don’t give a “flying flamingo” about him looking up at his wife who took time out from wrapping herself in bedsheets and going on Celebrity Big Brother and having an affair with his cousin to be an extra in his tear-stained display of egotistical onanism.

John Bercow has vowed "creativity" in Parliament if Boris Johnson ignores a law designed to stop a no-deal Brexit.

"Now that Mr Bercow has stepped down, we must ask if the position has become irretrievably politicised. Do we need to reform it so that future Speakers are more accountable for the considerable powers they exercise?"
And beyond brexit.

Speaker John Bercow is facing calls to quit after a report into bullying in the House of Commons.
Women and Equalities Committee chairwoman Maria Miller and senior Labour MP Sir Kevin Barron both said new leadership was needed.

It's so true. I mean, really, what is the difference between the current Tory government and the Brexit Party at this point? They're both single policy narrow church parties now led by charismatic possibly corrupt charlatans.

But the judges didn't pass an opinion on Brexit they only passed an opinion on whether the pro-roguing of parliament was legitimate. As such the referendum result had absolutely no bearing on how they should have made their ruling.
A parliament that cannot reach an agreement over Brexit is not anarchy by any stretch of the imagination.
I also see no evidence of any upcoming totalitarianism. Though anyone worried about that should be reassured by the judiciary showing that they still have power over the Government to ensure that they obey constitutional law.

With the likes of Brendan O'Neill yearning for leavers' riots and Dominic Grieve suggesting our PM could declare a state of emergency to enable his crash out no deal Brexit, it may be not so much fantasy as something being deliberately set in motion.

There is a big difference between political agitators calling for riots and there being any prospect of riots. It will be interesting to see if Boris really can use emergency powers when there clearly is no national emergency. It would not surprise me if that will be another decision that goes to the Supreme Court. I assume that there must be some constitutional limit to stop a PMs using emergency powers to force through their agenda without the support of Parliament?

It is not their agenda is it.I honestly think the remain mindset is in serious need of psychological analysis.
John Gray wrote of the continuing lamentation's of those who voted remain,
“Those who think the vote can be overturned or ignored are telling us more about their own state of mind than developments in the real world. Like bedraggled courtiers fleeing Versailles after the French Revolution, they are unable to process the reversal that has occurred. Locked in a psychology of despair, anger and denial, they cannot help believing there will be a restoration of an order they believed was unshakeable.”
