Despite its general lack of software I've still found a few on Wii U that have really impressed me:
Lego City Undercover was pure fun from start to finish and it's the one game this gen that I've played through multiple times. It's genuinely funny too.
Splatoon successfully managed to bring a fresh experience to online shooters. The single player, while short, was full of inventive level design and puzzles.
Yoshi's Woolly World almost matched the incredible SNES original for level design and character. Looked gorgeous too. Definitely my favourite 2D platformer since the original Yoshi's Island.
Deus Ex Human Revolution was bought on a whim and ended up my favourite game on the Wii U. Absolutely amazing experience and I can't wait for the sequel.
Affordable Space Adventures is probably the only game besides Zombi U to really use the GamePad well, and is a surprisingly deep adventure for an Indie game. Great fun with three people. |
