Protein shakes make my stomach swell and, like many others suffer, make me fart like a trooper

I drink Cravendale filtered skimmed milk. Works out to around 30g of protein per 60p. No gas either... unless you're lactose intolerant

Protein shakes are a food 'suppliment' and not a substitute.

I have both. I try to find foods that are high in proteins (and balanced in carbs/fats), and use shakes to top this up (or supplement it) to around 200g per day (for my body weight).

If I were to only rely on shakes to reach this 200g goal I would have to have 6-8 per day or so.

I find that eating bread and having protein shakes completely messes up my gut. Bread doesn't agree with my stomach at the best of times and neither do protein shakes. If I ever make the mistake of ingesting both within hours of one another it's carnage. I look 6-months pregnant and any visitors to my flat have to put on a chemical warfare suit before they come inside

yeah, creatine makes my stomach swell too...I normally take it before I go to the gym - and I look fat - then by the time I'm finished I'm slim again...

If I were a cynical moderator I might also question why someone with 4 posts has recommended Gorilla products in 2 of them

Good job I'm not.

Well I just made tuna pasta for tomorrow consisting of: a tin of tuna, 2 tbsp mayo, green peppers, spring onions, sweetcorn, birds eye chillies (roasted, give a nice charcoal taste   heat), and pasta. It makes a great lunch and tastes best cold-- you can just eat it through the day if you like. You can throw in any chopped vegetables pretty much. Very filling, ~35g protein.
