I don't believe "skipping breakfast" counts as intermittent fasting.  Thousands if not millions of busy parents skip breakfast and effectively follow the 16/8 routine and we don't see an avalanche of healthy people out there.  When it works (and I don't deny it does for the OP) I'd pretty much guarantee that other factors are responsible.

Don't you think it's this that is really working for you rather than your "fast"?

I actually understand your scepticism  - I still struggle to understand how and why is works so wonderfully for anyone who starts doing it with a positive frame of mind !!

I'll find the name in the next hour or so...

The main reason I'm sceptical is that I don't eat breakfast and don't get any of these wonderful benefits I'm supposed to be getting

You'd have to read the thread from the start to be honest , that's been covered so many times already ....

I eat lunch at or shortly after 1:00pm and evening meal between 8:00 and 9:00pm.  I never eat breakfast. So two meals a day, no grazing.

I have, I was the mod who pulled it out of the annoyance thread and put it here.  I'll probably punt it over to the Health and Fitness forum later.

I follow your timings almost to the letter, but I don't get your miracle benefits, which is why I suspect giving up the chocolate toffees and pies is far more likely to be responsible for your better state of health than the alleged fast.
