Do you not have access to a squat rack then mate? I won't touch the Smith machine, I'd rather wait for the rack to be free.

Bent over rows today and I think I've been doing then wrong.
I've been lifting then to my chest but I saw a big of someone doing them pretty much up the thighs to the waist and a bit above.

What's the general consensus?

nah, no squat rack I'm afraid... just a smoth machine... luckily that hardly gets used too...

I've just been doing the rows that same way as the guy in the video (can't remember the exacts now) - but I look forward and make sure my back is straight at the base and chest up slightly...

This was today's workout. Cheeky little one after work. Love the fact that I can be done in under 45 mins and I've had a proper workout.

Amazing difference from last workout where I really struggled. Today I was fully fuelled and fully hydrated and breezed through it! Felt like I could've added 10kg into each one before it world start getting really heavy!
I had pizza on Saturday and chips yesterday and lots of coffee and water today so maybe I need more carbs in my diet since I have almost completely cut out bread and potato over the last 6 months...

nice one, I've just done -
Squat
5x5
81
Oh Press
5x5
45
Deadlift
5x5
100

and it wasn't hard as I thought it would be - tho, the oh press was hard...

I struggled with my grip on the dead lift today, my left hand was going. I don't want to use straps, just need to improve my grip

When I was a child learning karate, I asked my instructor what was the best way to train to learn to improve my roundhouse kicks. He told me to train doing roundhouse kicks as no other stretch or exercise will work the muscles and everything required in performing the technique the same way as actually performing the technique.
So I learned to practice it slowly and gently until I got better at it...

actual grip or blister on calluses? Don't know if there is difference but I always get calluses to the point of blister and they do hurt. This the reason deadlifts is on my leg day as seems to get calluses on any pull exercises. Only reason I've not gone with straps is I'm happy to work well within my PB.

Maybe you just need to go a fraction lighter for a while to build up the grip?
I find really concentrating on squeezing the bar, really trying to crush it can help too.
