When Gordon Brown lost the election in 2010, he had 258 seats, only 3 less than Corbyn now.
Brown though only polled 29% of the National vote, whereas Corbyn managed 40% last night.
Between the Tories and Labour they got 83% of the vote, essentially we are back to two party politics.
The Conservatives are the biggest party and with 43% of the National vote, bigger than Cameron achieved in 2015, and it still seems like a defeat. |
