Yes you like lots of Tory M.P.s love to quote their share of the vote increased and was as large if not larger than what the great Tony Blair received.

They fail to mention that the size electorate has grown considerably since then so hardly a fair comparison.

Tell me this - if it was such a great night for the Tories then why is May on borrowed time and why all the hullabaloo?

Numerous members and supporters have blasted the Prime Minister’s campaigning in key marginal seats.

That was easy to see in certain seats. Lost by less than 300 in a constituency near me in 2015, that overwhelmingly voted remain in 2016. She sticks in a pro brexit candidate in 2017 and Labour romp to a near 10,000 majority. She really isn't any good at this politics malarkey.

I just thought of all the disabled people crying because they lost their carer, their freedom, and their dignity.  Then I thought of the German word schadenfreude and allowed myself to wallow in it.

And just for context, the Tories did better than in the previous two elections (that they also won).

2010 - 36.1% - 10,726,614 votes
2015 - 36.9% - 11,334,576 votes
2017 - 42.4% - 13,667,213 votes

Yes labour did very well, but nowhere near getting enough seats to win.
