Your post is contradictory, on the one hand the young have a lot to offer and on the other, the young are having a rough time and need government help. Which is it, capable of standing alone and seizing opportunities or needing help.

Not sure about that as they'll still be under the Tory whip but Ruth Davidson is firmly in the more liberal wing of the Tory Party and can hopefully have a major influence. Personally, I think she'd have been more comfortable working with Cameron or (the upcoming elephant in the room) Boris.

The Tories have doubled the deficit to 1.8 trillion and borrowing more than Labour government before it where has that money gone? Not into services for sure
As for quantitative easing that was voted by all sides of parliament the right thing to do
The global recession was the catalyst to the problem brought on by the banks

Sigh.

This again.

Did the debt go up because the Tories created a huge deficit? Or was it the inevitable result of the deficit they inherited?

Lol, you are funny, mate. Please point out where I said that they 'need government help'? No? Try again.

The Tories have been no better on deficits. Have a look at the second chart at this link (I'm on my phone and couldn't easily embed it).

If anything the 2000s deficits were at a similar level to those run by Thatcher in the 1980s. Both ended in the same way (badly).

Only 8 times in the last 60 years has Britain run a budget surplus?  Isn't our debt worse now than it was when the Tories took power in 2009/10?
