You didn't give any reason why he was better than all the other candidates.

He's been in the army? How does that make him a better Tory party leader? Maybe the 5 months he spent on probation and achieved nothing of note were more significant than they appear?

His foreign office experience is interesting, but I fail to see why this makes him better on the major domestic political issues.

He appears to be a relatively poor orator, not particularly good in interviews and he doesn't seem to have any identifiable qualities that the electorate or his peers would want to vote for. He's also not particularly photogenic, which is harsh but certainly a factor in modern day politics.

Nothing you have pointed to makes him clearly better than every other candidate for everything outside of brexit.

I see little benefit in debating this with you Squiffy given what happened to Rich and as its a matter of personal opinion.  I could go into a long list of reasons why Stewarts public service and performance in Parliament points to his potential for being Prime Minister.  But what's the point?  You wouldn't agree and Stewart won't make it to final selection anyway.

I will, however, gently point out that Stewart is an infinitely better than Raab.  I think we all remember:

...or his comments regarding feminists:
Dominic Raab defends calling feminists ‘obnoxious bigots’

I am sure he was just "misquoted" and/or is just "misunderstood".  But all suggest he is a second rate operator and IMHO is only attracting support because of his pro-Brexit credentials.  Perhaps like Grayling, support for Brexit is handy offset for actual competence.

Hehehe agreed. Remuneration isn’t good enough though, but they have my price already.

I was about to give you credit and say you’ve already ruled it out because it doesn’t pay well enough

On the basis that the above is what Boris wrote he's not fit to lead us out of a wet paper bag, let alone be PM. Ken Bigley was beheaded by Islamic extremists/terrorists. Yet Boris can't see beyond the end of his own philandering nose to see why a community would grieve and blames it on some idiotic idea of victim mentality.  The rest is just stupid and obnoxious.  And when he was sent to Liverpool to apologise, by Michael Howard, he didn't know why he was apologising.

And that's without mentioning picanninies and tribal warriors with watermelon smiles in Africa, Barack Obama having an ancestral hatred of the British Empire because of his part-Kenyan ancestry, people from Papua New Guinea being cannibals, and seriously suggesting that a return to white colonialism for Africa without having to feel guilty as being the best fate for that continent.  The man is a buffoon.  If we end with him as PM we'll be even more of a laughing stock.

I think the EU election results have ended whatever small chance the likes of Rory Stewart had.

Boris and Raab look a lot more certain to have one of them on the ticket. The rhetoric about no deal is going to be stepped up in the leadership campaigns.

Its pointless, whoever leads next will have the exact same problems as May.

I didn't vote in the EU elections, but come next GE I'm voting Brexit Party as they will be the only party that will deliver on the referendum and what I voted for, which is leave the EU.
