Keep the old tyre to send pictures to Aviva.

He had the hire car tyre repaired, for his own peace of mind, given it was his "fault" the screw got there. Why get Aviva involved?

I've just had the telephone call. Our car is ready to collect, apparently.

They asked when would I be in to collect it, the reply "After the independent assessor comes back out to reinspect it, like he said he would".

Independent assessor sent these images, I'm still not happy:

"We have re-inspected the wheel arch and deem this to have been reworked and to a commercially acceptable finish"

What do you think?

I can't see from those pictures what the problem is. I've been in this situation before and I don't think your ever going to be happy with the repair as you know its had a repair.

I know what you mean. I really do. I think I'm going mad.

Have you seen the earlier images posted? Have you seen how it is supposed to look?

Ste7en - look at the way some people complain about their TVs on AVF, classic cases of always finding imperfection.
Could you be specific about what part doesn't look right?
Maybe have a look at another car of the same model?

It is that rough looking area down the bottom. I know they buggered it up by applying too much heat, they have admitted this to Vizion Network. I knew they wouldn't be able to get it to a satisfactory standard as there is no car left at that point.

At least I know it is dressed properly now and I can hide it with a bodykit in the Spring.
