I've always known it will be a gimmick. What is a little concerning though is the point they made about text and email apps not working properly and it being slow. Those are the main features I would use. I hope that changes after a software update.

It is also a shame you can only type a message or reply with just your voice or one of those stupid gimmicky faces, really not keen on those!

I have a couple of weeks anyway to decide, just hope I'm not Offshore at the time otherwise it's going to be a non return data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 oops!

Be interesting to see how quickly Apple respond with a firmware update. But I am a little unnerved I must admit.

But at least I have the salvation of knowing that those posts didn't come from credible AVForumers. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Lol

I'm trying to stay away from MacR but something just pulls me back

Must say though and I hope some people agree with me, I only joined the Apple train when the 3GS was released and had always wished for the perfect phone but had never heard about the previous 2 iPhones so was a convert at a later stage...but never looked back!

In this instance, one of the main reasons I want to give the first Gen a try is for the above reason, look how well iPhone took off, will it happen with the Apple Watch? who knows, but at least I was there from the start this time data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Read the article, quite interesting and some very valid points.

I bought mine expecting not to like it as originally felt very underwhelmed when it was announced. Much to my surprise I really like it. It's only day 3 but combined with my 6it's turning out to be a perfect combo.

Was convinced I would return it but for me it's a keeper.

EDIT - I would agree Lee, I've had every gen of the iPhone and remember my iPhone 1 experience very well. For me, given time, I do think the watch will be a big game changer too...eventually. But I'm certainly enjoying it already data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It would be interesting to find out what phone people are using when they are having trouble. I have an iPhone 5 and hope the older phone doesn't cause any problems.

I love mine, I'm looking forward to using it out and about during the working week as I've generally been at home all weekend with phone to hand.

I like that it's an extension to my phone. I don't need to walk round the house with my phone, if I'm upstairs with the kids or out in the garden I can see and act on what's important.

Having footy scores was great, as was call feature in the car. I've not used email too much but it's handy when one does pop up just to quickly glance down.

Ok, yes, it is a bit gimmicky but I thought that when the first iPhone came out! No one wants a touchscreen I said, it won't catch on, people prefer buttons! By 3rd generation is bought one!

I'm enjoying having a watch, I've not worn one in years, the fact it does so much more is great. I'm already getting addicted to filling up those rings for activity, I like the heptic feedback alerts, I like that I can control iTunes, Apple TV without having to pick up another device.

It's convenience for me, in a stylish well though out package. No it's not perfect, but for a first gen product it's already very good, think about what can be done just through software updates and app updates.... It will be tweaked and perfectedover the coming months which should make it more useful and enjoyable to use.

I've just plugged it in to charge for the night, 2 days use and it was on 24% remaining. It's not inconvenient for me to have to charge this every other day, or every day if needed but it can last quite a long time, and if you switch to power reserve it will go even longer data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I'm happy, I didn't have to buy it myself as my family clubbed together for my b'day to pay for it but even if I did I would have been please with my purchase. It's a keeper!

I was going to ask you what you thought now that you have had it for almost three days. Great to hear and can't wait to get mine now. Only down side is the wait will feel even longer now lol data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I've had a read through that thread and thought it was going to be full of negativity, but there wasn't that many people complaining to be honest. Plus the complaints that some people had, I felt the opposite, e.g a few people were complaining that it was too thick... I couldn't disagree more!

Just been looking at the cases and straps again

Why did Apple not allow for the Space Black with a different type bands with space black clasp

Seems odd how they never gave you that option
