Im using those cards as well so I may be able to help in the future but im not that far into setting it up yet.

Ive got 5 disks preclearing. When I try to start a 6th telnet session it now asks me for a password. I don't have one yet. Is 5 the limit?

I think I made the mistake of not typing in 'screen' on one of them. could that be the error I made?

Im also wondering if the drives need some sort of formatting before preclear. The only drive that is brand new has frozen at 0% at the very start.

I was running a different telnet session for each preclear which is wrong. I started again and did 4 drives in the same session although the same drive seems to have frozen at 31 seconds again. the others are all progressing.

Ive no idea which drive that c drive is though, there wasn't an option to mark the drives by their bays. Is it normal for a drive to freeze? any idea if it is actually carrying on but just appears to be frozen?

Can anyone recommend a good motherboard similar to smurfs (I can't find it anywhere, seems to have been discontinued) that can run an Intel Core i3 2105.

How have you identified each disk to their drive bays in your server?

Id like to make disk 1 in unraid my first drive bay for example. I could only have 1 hard drive attached each time I start the server up but that seems like a needlessly long way to do it.

Im also wondering how you know which drives have been precleared? I have 4 running, 1 of which froze at 31 seconds. It could be any of the 3 drives in my HDD cage but I can't think of how to find out.

Clearly you need to read the post I posted.

No need to be snappy. The drive that has frozen is drive c. No idea which drive bay that is though and i dont know how to tell which drives have been precleared.

Your posts have been helping me, thank you for them.

The best way to do it is to start up unraid (it shouldn't start the array) and look at the drop down menu and see what serial number hdd C is and then do a shut down and check the hdd serial numbers.
