Just another point , maybe my last data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7Is that I've already mentioned that my wife   , daughter , family and friends have also been successfully converted to fasting albeit only 16/8 .

My wife and daughter have always ate a fabulously healthy diet and yet they've both been amazed at the benefits gained from simply simply skipping breakfast.

On that basis I think I am on the verge of qualifying as a scientist too. Lol

I know you think a lot of people have been knocking you, which is not 100% true.
But I have a genuine question on this subject.
With your whole family fasting on a regular basis. And with the food you do buy being healthier and less processed and junk type. Have you notice a decrease in your shopping bills? Is it significant?

skipping breakfast isn't extended fasting.

You are correct . The weekly food bill is slightly less , I say slightly as it was only me who was living on junk food . Also we spend more than ever on masses of fruit and also chickens , salmon - cod , lamb and beef joints . Still a saving and now we eat like Royalty data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Also I still eat a good amount of food each day - minimum of 2000calories , guessing nearer 2500 some days . It's just eaten in a short 4 hour window .

Well most fast from late evening ( 11 pm ? ) until 7am .. maybe an 8 hour fast so 9pm until the following 1pm is 16 hours - twice as long .... That's only for those using the 16:8 method ..... I fast from 9pm till the following 5pm which is a 20 hourfast each day ....

IronGiant Publish time 26-11-2019 05:28:42

it was an 8 hour window earlier...You are moving the goal posts.

just admit it was the junk food.

Im 51, dont eat pies and almost zero fatty sugary foods, dont drink beer...Eat fruit, veg, juicing, fish. That said I live in Spain so the way of life is very different...Its the only way I can keep up with all the attention from the much, much younger females.....

Really !!

I have been promoting 16:8 fasting as it's the most commonly used . I also made it clear that I followed the 20:4 regime where I fast from 9pm until 5pm the following day . That's a fact . Check through the thread properly .

Forgive me but I'd expect better from a scientist .

20:4 regime mentioned in the first few of my posts .
