Poll: Would you be interested in seeing a food forum?
The thought came about that a food board might attract new members to the forum. And as it was a unisex topic, perhaps a more even distribution of the sexes. On the plus side, it might increase membership and the sheer number of contributors is what makes GC an interesting place to be.
Perhaps a negative may be that GC would lose a topic. I don't think it should be compulsory to post in a specific forum, but hopefully if it takes off, you would probably want to.
A poll seems the best way to canvass opinion. It would be appreciated if you could add your reasons for your vote, especially if you are against.
Thank you. Voted 'yes' - and the reasons above seem viable (plus I've got bandwidth to help moderate it, if needed). Think it'd be a popular addition. Works well on a few other forums I'm on. I suggested a food forum ages ago, but for opposite reasons in that I would like to see food-related subjects off GC (I find BBQ/food related threads very boring).
But it was shot down in flames for reasons I can't recall.
Would be glad to see it happen now though. I have absolutely no interest in Motorbikes, I find them very boring. To prevent reading something I'm so unbelievably uninterested in, guess what....... I don't read the associated threads in the Motoring forum. *Retraction - of course I read them as it is a Mod requirement, but you get my point? //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif Motorbikes have a separate sub-forum within the motoring forum.
So motorbike threads, unless posted by mistake, don't appear in the motoring forum.
Food requires it's own separate sub-forum to get threads about it out of GC.
Clearly enough demand, compared with some of the other 'ghost town' sub-forums going around, I would say. Your
Your not female. I voted no but should have read your post first I read through all the threads, it's called 'common courteosy'.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
