Indeed, exercising their right, as much TFL and Mayor are. Happy days for UK democracy.

"He has been accused of bowing to a campaign by the GMB union after he backed Transport for London’s decision to strip Uber of its licence. One of the groups representing Uber drivers accused the mayor of “cronyism” for agreeing to the demands of black cab drivers."

Still says backed, not instigated data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Hmmm having read TfL's statement it is interesting....It doesn't come across to me that there are any specific rules that have been broken, I'm a little surprised there are no direct references to sections/paragraphs etc in that. A bit wooly regarding 'Corporate Responsibility' and it sounds rather subjective.

I was going to ask whether anyone knows of a better source and reasons why, but the paper I just read is from TfL....

This truly reeks political...

As a consumer I really like Uber. I've only once doubted a drivers identity in Warsaw, but as there were 5 of us and one of him we went with it anyway....I would have declined by myself...But I know more about the driver and my route than if I got a normal taxi...

I've used Uber in UK, Netherlands, France, Poland, Russia, United States...Absolutely love it, and great vehicles....It would be a real shame if London decides it wants bad customer service and sh*tty vehicles instead...I do know that my money wouldn't go to black cabs....

But to be fair,If I may say so,you equally seem very keen to look for a reason to defend him?

Yes , I am critical of him, but only based on facts, ie his decisions, actions and comments often display poor judgement and skewed priorities. IMHO.

Are you allowed to say "bellend", or will that get the thread closed ?data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
