For anyone coming to this thread, Andertons posted a demo of the guitar today (sans amp).

Epiphone Slash AFD Les Paul Special II Outfit | Andertons

I've got a Vintage VS100 Les Paul copy which is pretty good for a bargain £250. Found it better than the Epiphones.
Not nearly good enough for me so am thinking of a 2015 Les Paul Studio for my 40th birthday next month. Not a fan of the LP100 signature but don't mind the auto tuning as I tend to only get to play every so often for 20-30 mins do will save a bit of time, what with a new baby data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Everything else on the 2015 LP is still great, wider neck, split coil, same great tone.

I love looking at my guitars and I've got 8 of them on the wall, and space for 2 or 3 more (one of which is waiting for me to collect this Saturday). It's better than spending your spare cash on rent boys (I presume, never tried).

From trying the 2015 LPs yesterday, there's nothing to mind about it - it's pretty helpful, and rather unobtrusive in real life.

How's the wider neck feel? Play well?

Honestly, I didn't really notice the difference. The guy in the shop said that it made a significant difference but he's obviously a much better player than me!I bought a Slash Rosso Corsa today instead data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Nice data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I'll give the LP Studio a try in next few weeks.

Ended up going for the LP 2013 60s Tribute (birthday in a few weeks so have to wait). Too many things I wasn't happy about with the 2015 Studios and apart from the satin finish on the 60s Tribute it ticks every box - look, fretboard, humbuckers etc... Also the fact that I got a cracking discount so it's only £600.
Ideally wanted a Gold Top but they are almost impossible to find but I think this will be just my first LP data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Also grabbing the Marshall MG15CFX as my Kustom 65 watt is massive and pointless for what I need data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

HNGD. I had a black 60s Tribute. A fine guitar.

Thanks. Getting the Vintage Sunburst one - looks great data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Yup the 60s tribute is great value currently replaced the LPJ as the Gibson to buy currently. Really nice guitar. Post some pics when you get it. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

As much as I'm a Marshall advocate I think the MGs are not the best. Your better off buying used if you really must have one. The 15s are really lacking in bass due to the 8inch speaker and the headphone output is pants.

Loads of good used modelling amps for under a ton. If you have a kustom 65 a better option would be to buy an amplifi TT and effectively turn it into a modelling amp/multi fx.
