I went to Japan in April this year for the first time, and I absolutely loved it. My favourite ever holiday, everything about it was amazing.
I have similar daydreams about returning!
Decided i'm going back next year, to the south of Japan this time.
Osaka, Nara and Kyoto are on the hit list currently.
So, it looks as though we're going to Tokyo next year, thinking about staying in the Shinjuku area, good or bad idea ?
Found a hotel just a short walk from the sky tower , would that be a good area to stay in ?
Shinjuku is a great area to stay in...lot's to do, see, and eat around that area during the day and night.I've always based my stay in Shinjuku whenever I visit Tokyo.
Not sure about the area where the Sky Tower is, is it Taito?
Yeah I stayed at the Gracery Hotel in Shinjuku really aweaome hotel, fantastic staff.
Skytree is in sumida, Tokyo Tower is in minato
Been looking at some of the room sizes !! , no bigger than broom cupboards !! , gonna have to be careful what I book !!
The rooms in the Gracery Shinjuku are indeed small, but it's a great hotel in a convenient location.
