Could be a good call that actually spending a few nights on Miyajima, Having a look online and Kyoto - Hiroshima - Osaka is £150 by Train, But the sanyo-san'in area pass is £127 with unlimited travel in those areas. The JR pass is £200 for 7 days and 311 for 14 days.

Have any of you guys been to the Yamazaki Distillery?

Well first hurdle booked 2 nights at a guesthouse on Miyajima via Expedia, it was pay when you get there but then I checked my phone the day after an email from expedia saying the booking was cancelled and a text from natwest blocking a payment for £0.58 from Japan (a card was needed to book but nothing stated about trying to authorise a payment from it!
