Keep the old tyre to send pictures to Aviva.

IronGiant Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:32

He had the hire car tyre repaired, for his own peace of mind, given it was his "fault" the screw got there. Why get Aviva involved? data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Misread about the (mis)tread.

I've just had the telephone call. Our car is ready to collect, apparently.

They asked when would I be in to collect it, the reply "After the independent assessor comes back out to reinspect it, like he said he would".

Ste7en Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:32

Independent assessor sent these images, I'm still not happy:

"We have re-inspected the wheel arch and deem this to have been reworked and to a commercially acceptable finish"

What do you think?

un1eash Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:32

I can't see from those pictures what the problem is. I've been in this situation before and I don't think your ever going to be happy with the repair as you know its had a repair.

Ste7en Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:33

I know what you mean. I really do. I think I'm going mad.

Have you seen the earlier images posted? Have you seen how it is supposed to look?

Trollslayer Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:33

Ste7en - look at the way some people complain about their TVs on AVF, classic cases of always finding imperfection.
Could you be specific about what part doesn't look right?
Maybe have a look at another car of the same model?

Ste7en Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:33

It is that rough looking area down the bottom. I know they buggered it up by applying too much heat, they have admitted this to Vizion Network. I knew they wouldn't be able to get it to a satisfactory standard as there is no car left at that point.

At least I know it is dressed properly now and I can hide it with a bodykit in the Spring.

And now you can buy a new TV to find flaws in data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
