That is exactly how my wife and daughter feel about it. In the scheme of things we were lucky, bloody lucky. We wouldn't have been as lucky in our previous motor.
It is a Mazda dealership so I'm assuming that the repairs will be top notch.
They have said on several occasions that the damage is cosmetic only and it looks worse than it actually is.
Apparently being hit by something as big as a HGV is a good thing as it disperses the impact. On your car, we were thrown about like bags of potatoes!
Clown neighbour is banging on about how he wouldn't drive it again. But he always toddles around in company cars so he would have that option. He would run a mile if he thought he would be out of pocket by 3 - 4k!

Yep, nothing about the windscreen though. I've told them three times already.
If it isn't replaced I'm not picking it up.

Should I be worried about 'Left B Pillar - Repair and Paint'? I mean, a new hinge indicates pretty bad damage doesn't it?

Update, still no sign of our car. It will have been in the bodyshop eight weeks this Friday.
That is actually longer than the length of time we owned it before the accident.

Surely with the hire car cost's, addition of a new windscreen, your going to move over the write-off threshold anyway?I don't understand why they bothered this repair, 10 weeks is crazy!

I suspect it is because they can make more money out of it than writing it off.
I pointed out I would not be happy with the tyres on it and would not be taking it away if they hadn't at least been inspected. After 3 or 4 mentions of this they decided they would check them.
They still have not said if they will be looking at the windscreen.
Whenever I ring I get told "Everything is fine". I suspect they have buggered it up and have had to start again. Or they have discovered something that makes it a write off and are arguing with the insurance company. I dunno...
