Agreed. But we can't afford to write off however much we would loose.

Depends on how confident you feel in the assurances?
I'm all for giving people a second chance and if you believe there is good intent here they should do the best possible job.
If you feel they're stringing you along then follow your instinct and send it elsewhere.
I don't think either is a perfect solution but you are where you are.

How many carrots were there that turned out to rotten to the core?

Ste7en Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:26

I've made a decision. I'm going to let them have another go at sorting it out.

Then I'm going to get Airdam side skirts fitted to hide it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

The garage rang yesterday. Our car will be ready for collection next week. Aviva are not happy and they have pre-approved our car to be taken to another garage (a very rare occurrence by all accounts) if it isn't up to scratch this time. Vizion Network have said they HAVE to get it right this time.

Mrs went through everything with Aviva the other day and there is talk of compensation for all the hassle. If it is enough to cover the Airdam skirts I'll be very happy.

Garage said they will fill the fuel tank up as it is only half full as a goodwill gesture. I asked how about a bonnet respray as there are a few stone chips which are even more obvious now with the new front end... they said sure, as we have been messed around so much data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I take it you won't get the car serviced there data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Hell no! It even has a two year warranty which I'll invalidate but I don't care data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Manufacturer’s warranty or extended?

As you can usually have your car serviced at any VAT registered garage as long as they use OEM (or OEM quality) parts.

Ste7en Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:27

Extended. Mind, it is underwritten by the RAC so I may be okay.

Trollslayer Publish time 24-11-2019 23:04:28

Hope so.
