I decided to hire a bike again and went for a 600. Hopefully Focused Events can supply me with one of their GSX-R600s again, because I've had my best days around Silverstone on one of those compared to other hire bikes in their fleet. They added 1000s to their fleet last year, but as much as I want to blast around Silverstone on a 1000 I decided to stick with what I know and went for the 600. I just want to ride smooth and scratch my knees. If I can afford another one this year, then I might go for a 1000. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Been loitering for a while now and am taking my mod 1 in a couple of weeks.
Riding a cheapie 125 at the mo but am getting delivery of this 1998 Yamaha XVS650 Dragstar next week as a pressie from myself for when I pass.

Cannot wait!!!!

I would love to get it repainted matt black though. Thoughts, and anyone know a good place around Manchester where I could get it done ????

1000s are a double-edged sword, IMO.
They're definitely easier to ride than a 600, but they make you lazy.
Gear selection is less important and cornering lines are less important, because you can just blast the thing up the next straight.
Straights have always been the most boring part of a track to me, so I prefer the smaller bikes too.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Very nice bike your selling.

Love the Prilly Milly, just a bit too short in the leg for me.

Don't think I have Italian hips ;-)

OK so my Priller has gone (and at a £200 profit on what i paid 2yrs ago data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 )

so I've decided on my next bike....Suzuki DR-Z400 (S not SM...)

@Signs...didn't you have one ?? Still got it?

Keep it!! and keep it standard. Stroker prices are rocketing at the moment.

Ive had loads of offers for it but wont sell unless im totaly skint. Its standard apart fron the Arrow pipes but i have the originals in the loft.
It would have been great if they made an Aprilia RS500.
