I thought I saw that if you ordered from the MS store you would revive it on the 12th

How is it for battery life. I get about 2 days worth from my iPad. That's using it basically 2 evenings.

Also I use Facebook messenger quite a bit especially sharing and copying photos from say smart glass etc and being able to import straight in to messenger with the iPad.

It's quick and easy and I'm hoping the surface can do this too

Taking into consideration that I am using it as a fully fledged laptop/pc the battery lasts approximately 7 hours. When I use it only to browse or watch a movie it can go up to 10 hours.

It depends where it is shipped from, but you should receive on 12th. (Some people have received theirs from China???)

I've got a sp2, while I never had apple products I think it's brilliant, I replaced a laptop and android tablet to take it traveling and its been fantastic and does all the jobs both the devices it replaced did and faster. Windows 10 works really well, the switching between tablet and desktop mode is seamless and its the best bits of windows 7 and 8 in one OS.  

The app store is pretty rubbish though, I really don't use the apps and just go to the website instead, I got very annoyed with tapa talk not letting me turn off notifications in particular and coming to the avf website is just easier. But you can just install windows programmes which work fine. It's good that I can run full ms office and even play some games on it.  Windows has now finally really become a good option for those in your situation that use a tablet a lot and sometimes need a computer. It's really handy that if you were doing it on your iPad and have to jump to your computer on the surface just add a keyboard and your sorted instead of having to find what you were doing again on the computer.

I have just bitten the bullet (after selling my SP3) and pre-ordered the SP4.
