I personally can’t justify this purchase. As I said, in my opinion this product is not worth the price tag. That’s all.
What I see as a better option is to improve the PlayStation Now and allow us to play various titles from the previous generation consoles.
Doom, Duke Nukem, Rise of the Triad, Wolfenstien, Heretic and many others started on PC way before the Microsoft Consoles. But could you, is there any mileage in a retro PC console?
I'm going to buy one just to put on my shelf unopened, then take if off and look at the box now and again and wonder whether they've fixed the texture warping in emulation or not, the ability to toggle on and off would be nice but I bet they don't, then I'll put it back on the shelf unopened.
But thats what Nintendo tried, and despite the VC being available for what, 10 years, the NES and SNES classics sold by the bucket load. So they’re just giving people what they want.
Still got my old PS1 - c/w with modchip and 2x cd-rom drive. Plays everything, no limits on the number of games... course, I don't actually use it much
