Yes that’s to be expected (& preferable to preserve the original aspect ratio).
I was more talking about the PAL borders top/bottom that squashes the image.

This might be a huge seller, but I suspect there'll be loads on ebay after a few days.

Unlike the NES or SNES classic, where the 2D pixel art is still quite nice and has a retro quality, I don't think the early 3D of the Playstation is going to give anyone warm fuzzy feelings.

I would want one but then I have a PC hooked up to my TV running all my fave games already using the Xbox One controller. I have a Snes Mini but I don't play it now. The only advantages of these console minis is the opportunity to use original controllers that they were designed for, however going down that route means you have tons of controllers for different machines.

I think nostalgia might be getting better of some people. These first gen 3d games were pretty bad and don't hold up. Even GTA3 is practically unplayable it's so bad. They don't have the charm or the pick up and play joy of the 8 and 16 bit era games. For instance I just bought the streets of rage trilogy on the xbox. Those games are infinitely better than their attempt on the playstation - Fighting Force.

I bought the SNES earlier in the year and that doesn't see much screen time, so I'm undecided for now. Needs some quality 2 player games and deffo Gran Turismo/Colin McRae.

i would have picked tekken 2 over 3 and the original ridge racer over type 4

and if metal gear solid isnt on there i dont see the point
