Not just a London thing, I was brought up on red or brown sauce. It's only more recently that I've started to use the word ketchup, and it never feels right saying it.

***, some people... oven? grill? 15 minutes??? it's not called a fry up for nothing! a few mins in a very hot pan is all it takes (this method only for those in the household who wear the trousers (so to speak) ... get the oh to clean the spatter from the hob afterwards).

Of course there is a difference. American style crispy bacon is always streaky bacon that is cooked until it is dry, hard & crunchy, like eating meat crisps.

Our bacon is still nice & moist

I love bacon, but the Canadians made me realise that there are limits to love

Thats taking the whole land of maple syrup and bacon vibe too far man! They should exercise some of that quaint british restraint.

Speaking of HP sauce am I the only one that has noticed a difference in its taste these days?

You say that but Hawksmoor, puveyors of british produce, did do maple and bacon donuts as one of their desert options

Rikes! And thus we see there is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an bacon binge. And I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon...
