Seriously though @MrSossidge generally when electrical goods like these fail, they fail early. Annoying as it is, I'm sure the next one will be just fine. They do have a very good reputation.

Hey, I'm not worried. Occasionally stuff doesn't work out of the box. Like I said, I'll be ordering another one once I get the refund.

I need that in my life. Was supposed to slow cook so pork today but forgot to put it on. 25 mins you can do anything

I'm going shipping tomorrow to kit out the kitchen in my new flat and I think a slow cooker will definitely be on the list. I love stew and casserole, but I'm keen to try some other dishes.

Don't discount an electric steamer instead or also.Great for veg and fish, but steamed pork was absolutely minging.

Agree Got a build-in steam oven ... Very good.

I meant a stand-alone 2-3 tier electric steamer. Much cheaper and better coz if you get bored of it just stick it in the graveyard cupboard alongside the toastie maker, blender, spiralizer, nutritional mixer, hostess trolley etc

I meant it that I use one so often to share that there are fantastic options rather than more stuff cluttering the work tops
