Ground out 175x2 earlier on, everything felt heavy today but still on the way to end of year target.

You have to eat enough to fuel your goals, eat like a beast and become one, eat like a teenage girl and........

You also need to physically gain weight to lift more and get bigger.

Food is so important, the extra calories really help. Our little group has a weight range from 60kg up to 105 with loads of differing abilities. Tonight we've all had log press pb's one of the guys has managed a 107.5kg log press at only 88kg body weight, last week he failed 105 and the only difference is he's eaten bigger the past week. Biggest success was our 60kg guy managing 85 after failing 75 last week. None of us have put on any meaningful weight, there's next to no lean mass gain, it's just the extra few hundred cals a day to help recover and fuel the heavy lifting, especially after a day at work.

yeah, I did legs last night and worked upto 70kg - I start off at 40kg to warm up (3x8), then 5x5 of 50kg, 5x5 of 60kg, then 5x5 of 70kg...

I know I can go higher - but the gym only has a couple of 10kg plates left (tho, they have ordered some more - but not sure exactly what size, or when they'll arrive) - so, what's the best way to take the next step to 90kg... just go for it ? tho, I suspect I may fail first off...

they do have a leg press and all the machines too...

after my squats I'll normally go on the leg curl machine (85kg 5x5), then stand with some 26kg dumbbells and take steps on a raised platform, then do calf raises...then on the treadmill...

What do you guys think the best technique is for squats? When I do my squats I tend to go all the way down as low as I can go.. But I see people do sort of half squats and usally have huge amounts of weight on it.

im currently doing 1x80kg then 3x90kg and thats pretty much my max at the moment. I could do more weight if I wasn' as low, but I always full range of motion was always best.

ROM is important if it's not lower than parallel it doesn't count, half squats = half results! This video was taken at my gym nearly a year ago, if ever I want to check squat form I watch this and Jays other videos - [ame]http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GdGGbFsDv04[/ame]
