yeah, I did legs last night and worked upto 70kg - I start off at 40kg to warm up (3x8), then 5x5 of 50kg, 5x5 of 60kg, then 5x5 of 70kg...
I know I can go higher - but the gym only has a couple of 10kg plates left (tho, they have ordered some more - but not sure exactly what size, or when they'll arrive) - so, what's the best way to take the next step to 90kg... just go for it ? tho, I suspect I may fail first off...
they do have a leg press and all the machines too...
after my squats I'll normally go on the leg curl machine (85kg 5x5), then stand with some 26kg dumbbells and take steps on a raised platform, then do calf raises...then on the treadmill... |
