Going off the 2016 figure, 39,000 refugees applied for asylum in the UK.
The terror attacks on the UK for the most part were carried out by British born nationals, so these two arrests on refugees is far from the norm.
In the last 10yrs if 39,000 refugees came to the UK and 30% (based on the average over the years) were granted asylum, that gives 117,000 refugees granted leave to remain in the UK officially.
That means these two arrests account for 1 in 58,500.
You might consider that a 'high' risk, but then perceptions are what they are. |
