Ardent Conservative? He wasn't even a politician, he was clergyman. "Nationalist" is also a loaded description, he was virulently anti-Nazi. Try to get your basic facts right at least.

Since when do you have to be a politician to be Conservative. And the rest about Martin Neimoller it's evident you have only known of him from today because you would have known he was Nazi for many years but became an political opponent of Nazism which resulted in prison for him. And still seen by some as anti-semitic...

Right. So he was a Conservative political clergyman who was really a Nazi, but then became an antifa,  got locked up for it, wrote a poem supportive of Jews, but was actually anti-semitic. Got it.
