I said earlier hat it was the OPCW that went out there. I presume they are different to the team Russia vetoed to go, but then again Russia has vetoed every single action the U.N. security council ever voted on to take in Syria.
And I wouldn’t worry, these people are far smarter then us, have access to intelligence and data we will NEVER know about, they could blow the country up and experts and intelligence experts know who did it.
Let’s be clear here, it is a fact Asad has used chemical weapons against his people several times already, in my book he is at the top of the list of suspects backed by Russia in the attack.

This document is based on technical analyses of open source information and declassified intelligence obtained by French services.

Several lethal chemical attacks took place in the town of Douma in the late afternoon of saturday, 7 April 2018, and we assess with a high degree of confidence that they were carried out by the Syrian regime.

The UN have had years to do something.  Even at the year since the last US cruise missile attack there have been around a dozen suspected chemical weapon attacks, and the UN have just sat back and watched.

Historically, the UN are very good at claiming they are about to start once some nations have lost their patience.

OPCW have been investigating in Syria since 2014, but fact is they are not being effective, they are not finding and reporting stuff to shut it down quickly enough. Last April, 12 days after the US acted they admitted that they had found Sarin.  They are just not fast, not forceful enough and too forgiving.  Once chemical weapons have been found, as they have numerous times in Syria, they should shut the country down, not wag their finger saying “don’t do that again”.

Not many. Generally the liberation of Kuwait from Iraq's invasion was seen by most as a good thing and necessary.

In war the enemy are killed. Hopefully you are better at killing them than they are of you. Were you against the war? Do you think you have all the information available? Are you aware the war was stopped after this? What if you consider the enemy you don't kill today might kill you tomorrow? At the time the thinking was there would be the mother of all battles. What if it still could have happened? Those forces could have been surrendering. They weren't. Tomorrow they could have turned round.

If they didn't want to fight-surrender.

Until then they are still regarded as combatants. Would you be upset at German Heinkels being shot down while heading back to France?

Also note, what Saddam had left was then turned on others post Gulf War. At least he had less.

Running away and surrendering are two entirely different things where war is concerned.

It would have been "fairer" if our enemies fought back better and more of our troops died.
