So what is your suggestion to solve the current problems - Increase budgets, reduce budgets or keep budgets exactly where they are? Or similar to Labour, do you just want to wave a magic crime wand to solve the problem?

I've got no specific suggestion.

But moving away from a simplistic blaming it on police budgets is a good start to having a proper debate on how to handle the recent increase.

And not going to look at your second. I thought we were moving past a simplistic blaming it on budgets? I fail to see any relevance of sure start centres on the current crime figures and this discussion.

Have we blamed Brexit yet, for this upsurge in murder.  What about a large wall around London,as in Passports to Pimlico.     Do the parents of these diaffected youth care a damm what their kids do at night,like 2/3 in the morning.

The rejection of austerity was wrong then. We didn't see a 1m increase in unemployment as predicted. The economy did not crash.

We're supposed to reduce debt in the good times. We're finally at a point we can start to do that.

And we're doing it in the way that is least harmful to the economy.
