- Theresa May and Gordon Brown, upon their coronations, came up with some earnest and pompous bilge, which was never delivered
- 'whiter than white' was supposedly coined by Tony Blair upon his 1997 victory (it was actually "purer than pure"), and we know how that turned out

Be good if they illustrated that was in line with the Lib Dem whip too, since they were in coalition. Is it the SNP pushing that? As I see Runrig/SNP's Pete Wishart there. Totally pointless stat.

Earlier, new Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson said her door was open to disaffected Tories who want to join her party.

Ms Swinson said she had already been involved in talks with Conservative MPs about defecting and joining the anti-Brexit Lib Dems.

GORDON Brown’s Labour Government allegedly urged Police Forces across the UK ‘not to investigate’ grooming gangs.

The Former North West Chief Prosecutor alleged that the Home Office ordered police to ignore grooming gang claims in 2008.

Nazir Afzal, told the BBC that in 2008 the Home Office sent a circular email to all police forces calling on them to not investigate the sexual exploitation of young girls in towns and cities across the UK.

I'd question it but Nazir is a decent chap.

Not quite sure what you mean Sonic? Presumably I am missing something here (and on my mob which doesn't help) but, for the avoidance of doubt, Jo Swinson is the new Lib Dem leader and not a member of the Conservative or Labour parties.
