Different countries have different running costs, staff, supplies etc... a ££ figure means nothing without this.

What you also need to consider is there are 2 major costs added to the Education budget within the last couple of years. 30 hour preschool has to come out of this figure as does the childcare tax credits which replaced the employer voucher scheme. You also need to factor inflation
I have provided an example both personally and via an article of how funding is effecting education. There are literally 1000s of articles plus the opinions of teaching staff around the country. So they are all wrong and you are right...
