Read a couple recently:

The Good Guy - Dean Koontz - great read
The Taking - Dean Koontz - very bleak, struggled a little (Koontz either writes excellent, fast paced books that I can't put down or I struggle with them - about 50/50)
Lord of The Silver Bow - David Gemmell - stunning book!

Now on Shield of Thunder (2nd in Gemmell's Troy series).

Oh and "The Blokes Guide To Pregnancy"

The Years of Rice and Salt: Kim Stanley Robinson: Amazon.co.uk: Books

Alternative history premised on Europe having been wiped out by a plague in the early Middle Ages leaving the next six hundred years clear for the  clash of civilisations between Dar Al-Islam and the Far Eastern cultures.  Maybe too much to cram into about 700 pages, but I'm nonetheless enjoying it.

After reading Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood, and Halo: First Strike recently, I'm now reading Halo: Ghosts of Onyx and I've enjoyed all of them.

I've got Halo: Contact Harvest and The Halo Graphic Novel on the way and am waiting for the Halo Uprising hardcover to be released, featuring all four separate editions, and a cheap Halo: The Cole Protocol to show up somewhere.
