Who cares if it does? Its not a continuous story, but multiple stories, and the few that do have additional parts (the first issue has a complete story, but the next volume in the series has also been added) can be purchased as normal trade paperbacks.

I would not worry about the sub - get your free gifts, then cancel after 6 weeks if it worries you and buy them in the shop. :smashing:

I would.  I don't like incomplete collections even if the stories are not continuous.

OK that seems a lot but its no more than buying 1 comic per week at the over the counter price for an American edition which for the regular issues are £1.80 or £2.43. There nice bound, and have multiple issues in them 6 in the first. Only thing there may be characters or stories you don't want. as a comic collector I look whats on offer I do hope they publish all of the Phoenix Saga or even the New genesis of the X-Men from the GS to issue 97-137 and some of the repercussions and what I class as the last best X-Men story 142. After that lot part of my enjoyment of comics has never been the same.

Fair enough! I have enough OCDness of my own for various things, but I dont think its worth dismissing before its started...do these kind of things have a high rate of stopping mid way through? For instance, a quilting magazine is also being advertised, 'our' one surely must get more people than that will.....wont it?

There are reports over at SFX and Marvel forums that it's been out and several different outlets have it in stock, Somebody even had it last Saturday from his LCS.
