Yeah I was thinking the same but spread over a few years I can justify it. Financially im £20 a mth better off this year and id only waste that on crap so thought I may as well get something out of it. For someone who doesnt own a single marvel comic im looking forward to collecting them.

Just read the blurb again and it says The novel that inspired the first X-Men film.

WOW thas even futher of the beam than what I though I thought the nearest was X-Men 3.

132 pages of comic excluding covers and blanks, plus a two-page introduction and 12 pages of bonus material at the back.  Total page count around 160, therefore.

However, that's only this volume.  Issue 2, the Dark Phoenix Saga, should come to 192 or 216 pages of story (8 issues from an era of 24-pagers, and I think the last was a double-issue) plus extras.

Does anyone know how many there will be?  I suspect at £20 a month, it will be too much for me but I think I will get the first one.

I estimate 70-80 from the 'spine picture' on the cardboard sleeve - the first book is labelled 21 and is a quarter ish of the way through.

The spine picture shows 60 volumes.  I counted.

Yes, but that's £600 spent over the course of two and a half years.  Plus there's no obligation to buy them all.

That is way too much and what if they do the common thing and just stop them part way through.
